werenabbiamo scelto Firenze come luogo della nostra storia, dove il traffico è tanto caotico quanto affascinante.
Il nostro protagonista, Luca, è un giovane artigiano fiorentino che lavora nel cuore della città, a pochi metri dal famoso Duomo.every day he would wake up early, make his way through the narrow streets of the city, and open his little workshop, where he crafted beautiful jewelry from copper and silver. But one day, he faced a big problem.
He had just finished a custom order, a beautiful necklace with a pendant shaped like the famous Florence skyline. The client was a wealthy American tourist who had paid a lot of money for the piece and wanted to pick it up that same evening. Luca had assured her that it would be ready, but as the hours passed, he realized that he had forgotten to buy the clasp at the local mercado. It was already late afternoon, and he knew that the mercado would close in less than an hour.
Luca was in a panic. He had to find that clasp, otherwise he would lose a valuable customer and risk damaging his reputation. He thought about running to the mercado, but he knew he would never make it in time, not with the dense traffic and the crowds of tourists that filled the streets.
Then he remembered something his grandmother had always said: “When you’re in trouble, think smart, not fast.” So he decided to call for a taxi. He searched on his phone and found “Radio Taxi 24”, a service that promised to be available 24/7. He called them and explained his situation, asking them to send a taxi as soon as possible.
Within minutes, a shiny black taxi pulled up in front of his workshop. The driver, a kind-faced man with a Florentine accent, listened to Luca’s story and promised to help. He drove like a local, weaving through the narrow streets and avoiding the worst of the traffic. In no time, they were at the mercado, which was just closing.
The driver ran inside and grabbed the last clasp from the hands of the merchant, who was about to turn off the lights. Then they rushed back to the workshop, where Luca quickly finished the necklace just as the American tourist arrived.
The tourist was delighted with her necklace, and Luca, relieved, thanked the taxi driver. “Grazie mille,” he said, “You really saved me today.” The driver just smiled and replied, “That’s what we’re here for. Glad we could help.”
From that day on, Luca always kept the number of Radio Taxi 24
